I wrote this on Feb 4 '06. Meant to post this long back, but did not. I'm posting this as it is, as it was written. It is outdated. But, truth indeed.

Happy New Year.

Am back finally. And here to stay.

A little update first.

I got a job (yes, finally after that loooooong wait that was getting
on to me). Started work with Euro RSCG and it's been a week now. It's
awesome, what else can you expect with a fabulous boss? :)

Now, something very sad that happened!! Hold your breath, here's the
story. Please visualise what I have to tell you here with a Discovery
Channel treatment in mind.

I was coming back from my meditation class in the evening and decided
to tuck my glasses in my pocket as I was carrying too many things in
my hand. I tucked it in in such a way that the lenses were outside the
pocket (did not want them scratched all the more).

Cut to next day morning. I get on doing the usual, being a wife..
clean a bit, make the morning chai and breakfast.. make lunch.. and
then shop a bit.. and cook dinner.. and then it is time for hubby dear
to come home.. oh yes.. hunt for jobs meanwhile.. all that all that...

Cut to a routine of a regular next day. The same old boring me.. but
this day.. I start wondering where I misplaced my glasses. I looked a
bit, but could not find it. A couple of days went by this way (five
days to be precise), that is when I realised that I indeed have lost
my glasses. So it was time now to look for them.

I started to retrace my steps, went to everyplace that I visited in
the past five days (well almost all ), but nothing turned up.

So like any good investigator would, I tried asking myself some
intelligent questions. "Where last did you see your glasses?, Who
(with whom) was it?" and the like. And I remembered the bus trip back
home from meditation. So I decided to follow the same route.. I knew
that it could not have fallen in the bus, cuz i remember seeing it
just after I got off. So if it had fallen, it would have somewhere
between the bus stop and home.

It was funny, I had my eyes fixed on the ground as I walked from the
bus stop towards home. And suddenly I spotted something that looked
like a stick. And just as I was about to walk past it, I realised that
it was the remains of a completely disfigured part of the frame that
connects the lenses to the ear. It was like finding a part of the body
in Medical Detectives, where the investigators know that if one part
of the dead body is found, the others will be close by. So I looked on
and found a smashed almost not recogonisable 'something' that USED to
be my glasses!!
Yes, I'd been away like you all rightly noticed. I was busy with many other things. I missed this blog world a lot and I'm sorry if you'd come here to see if there was anything new. I guess I'll be around for a while now. I'm guessing.
